WORKSHOP: DIY CONTACT PRINTING TECHNIQUES

static1.squarespace.jpg

Learn to shoot with negative stocks and print multiple positive prints with this introduction to contact printing.  We'll talk about a variety of methods from direct contact printing with a sheet of glass, to modifying a sync block for the purposes of printing, re-purposing your Bolex as a contact printer, eventually using the MONO table-top contact printer for making prints up to 12 minutes long. We'll discuss stock options and effects, pros and cons with each method and set you up with the knowledge to duplicate your own films on film!

Finished projects will be presented after the conclusion of the course at our screening party.
