COLOR PHOTOGRAMS ON 35MM
MOTION PICTURE FILM
1 FIVE HOUR Session + 1 FOUR HOUR facilities credit + Screening Party
Join us in creating full color moving image photograms on 35mm film through traditional methods and DIY contact printing techniques! Participants will generate test strips with multiple color filters and have the option to layer photographic images using sync-blocks to bi-pack original footage with color positive stock. We’ll arrange, expose, develop and view work all in the same afternoon. Each participant will receive 50’ of 35MM film stock, access to chemistry, lab equipment and safety gear. After completing tests and experiments as a collective group each participant will have 4 additional hours access to the darkroom and wet lab facilities to create their own unique moving image photogram. Finished projects will be presented after the conclusion of the course at our screening party at Anthology Film Archives.
