FLATBED EDITING ON THE STEENBECK EDITOR

1 Session + 4 hours Access to Equipment

Learn to cut and edit your own 16mm film on a flatbed editing table, the STEENBECK.  We'll cover the basics of operation, how to clean and maintain the table, replace bulbs, standard and unconventional uses of the table and editing workflows.  We’ll talk about the different makes and models and open the table up to see what makes it tick. The Model housed at MONO NO AWARE will also play Mag sound, Optical track and Magnetic track! Logically, we’ll also talk about the accompanying tools and materials; wax pencils, guillotine splicer, leaders and all the necessary items to prepare your work print or projection ready print. All equipment is accessible to you after the workshop is over here at the MONO HQ,.  Each participant will get hands on experience of the process and 4 hours access to the MONO studio at a later date to work on their own projects.
