CREATING SUBTITLES ON 16MM FILM
LEARN TO CREATE SUBTITLES IN ANY LANGUAGE FOR THE MOVING IMAGE ON 16MM FILM
In this workshop participants will be introduced to more than one approach to creating subtitles on 16MM film. We’ll introduce and use the 16MM sync block, standing rewinds, an Oxberry Animation Stand, LOMO tank, the JK Optical printer and an EIKI Projector. Everyone is encouraged to bring found footage or original materials to subtitle. All participants will be able to create a 20-30 second work with subtitles PLUS you will leave the workshop with the knowledge to operate the machines independently and credit to work in the space at a later date!
