TIY (TEST IT YOUR SELF) CAMERA TEST WORKSHOP
** SUPER 8 EDITION **

This offering is designed for persons who were gifted a camera from a friend, who purchased a camera online and need to test it out before running a full roll or who have an old camera they have not ran in a while. We invite you to come to the MONO NO AWARE learning lab and test it yourself! Learn to clean/test/maintain any Super 8mm camera that you may have! We'll talk about proper care, how to remove battery corrosion, identify the various options on your camera, clean the cameras together then each of us will shoot a little bit of B/W film to process and project in order to be sure the camera is operational in every way possible. To test a camera on your own, one would need to purchase film. take the time to capture moving images, then pay the lab to develop and scan it, which would cost you nearly $100 if not more. This workshop will all happen on site, develop and project (and scan) all the same day for a fraction of that cost! Come with your used camera, leave with confidence knowing how well it works : )

LOCATION: MONO HQ 33 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn NY 5 min walk from 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, B, D, N, Q, R, & G trains.

INCLUDES:  Cleaning tools and materials, Super 8mm film stock, All related chemistry, development equipment, access to processing facilities
and instruction packet. Participants must bring a camera for testing.
