THE ART OF REAR SCREEN PROJECTION
Participants will learn the techniques and skills needed to set up and create the in-camera process of rear screen projection capturing on 16mm film! Each participant will provide or select a background video (“plate”) and a complementary foreground object/person. You will design a lighting setup to re-create the in-studio scenes to match their video backgrounds. Participants can expect to receive a introduction to the process at the MONO learning lab, then on set at CPR participants will act as crew for every one else’s session. All finished sequences will be developed, and printed to film for a free screening party open to the public.
