PRODUCING FUNDAMENTALS
In this workshop you will gain the skills to creatively support film production. Focusing on the low budget end of the spectrum, this class will define the role of producer and provide tools and resources to facilitate holistic, dexterous, and sustainable production practices from development to distribution. Walk away with various templates, a filmmaker roster, lists of organizations supporting filmmakers, and feedback on your current project alongside a renewed spirit to work as a producer or produce your own work!
This new offering will be led by Brighid Greene. Brighid is a film and dance artist. As a producer, she’s worked on Yara Travieso’s La Medea and Sarah Friedland’s CROWDS and is currently producing Tatyana Tenenbaum’s feature documentary Everything You Have Is Yours slated to premiere in 2024. As a dancer, most notably she performed nearly 800 shows in Then She Fell by Third Rail Projects. Her own work has been shown at Tiger Strikes Asteroid, BKSD, Anthology Film Archives, and for the Works on Water Triennial. She’s worked for film festivals including Tribeca, Cucalorus, Dance on Camera at Film at Lincoln Center, was Programs Director at Dance Films Association and produced/curated the opening night of MONO NO AWARE’s biannual festival in 2018.
