TIME LAPSE FILM-MAKING ON 16MM
LEARN TO SHOOT TIME LAPSE ON 16MM FILM + PRESENT YOUR FILM AT OUR SCREENING PARTY
In this workshop participants will be introduced to the possibilities of capturing single frames at a variety of speeds to produce time-lapse films. Participants may chose to shoot one frame every second, one frame every minute, one frame every 30 minutes, etc in order to film long spans of time on 16MM film to be re-presented at 24fps. Fruit molding, Plants growing, Ice melting. Sun setting. Stars passing at night, cities streets on the move. Curriculum will cover the basics of loading and operating the Bolex Rex5 camera and operating the TOBIN & INTRVL time lapse attachment motors. All film stock, equipment, processing and scanning services will be provided. Finished projects will also be presented after the conclusion of the course at our screening party at Anthology Film Archives.
