1 Session + Screening

Process your own film using Brooklyn Brewery beer and instant coffee crystals with MONO NO AWARE at Genspace. In this one-day workshop, participants will be given all of the information necessary to mix their own negative processing chemistry using a combination of consumable items from the grocery store. We will go over basic non-toxic processing options, then mix a synthesized solution based on the classic Caffenol (coffee) recipe and a beer processing “soup” developed by a friend of the org (and master chemist) Dagie Brundert. All ingredients, equipment, and safety gear will be provided.

All participants must bring an exposed roll/cartridge of black and white film: 35mm (72 exp. max), 16mm (100' max) or Super-8mm (100′ max).
