SHOOTING 35MM HI-CON PRINT FILM

LEARN TO SHOOT AND PROCESS FINE GRAIN PRINT STOCK (WITH AN ASA OF 10) AND HOW TO CROSS PROCESSING AS REVERSAL TO CREATE DETAILED BLACK AND WHITE SLIDES!

In this workshop participants will be introduced to HI-CONTRAST motion picture film stock Kodak's 5369.  We'll work as a group to shoot a roll of this HI-CON film to better understand its limitations and its possibilities as a still camera stock.  Curriculum will cover the basics of ordering, spooling down and shooting on ESTAR film stocks, how to expose properly and how to cross-process the film as a positive image.  With your own camera you'll shoot and process a roll in the workshop then, we will go over key chemical reactions, how to mix our own B/W reversal chemistry and process the film. Additionally, each student will take home an additional roll of this film to shoot and process at a later date!  Bring your own 35mm still camera, then all film stock, canisters, chemicals and related equipment will be provided for.
