Learn a variety of methods and techniques to create positive prints and editions works from camera negative originals in this hands-on introduction to D.I.Y. contact printing methods. We'll talk about a range of applications, from direct contact printing using a sheet of glass, to modifying a sync block for the purposes of printing, re-purposing your Bolex as a contact printer and eventually using MONO's table-top contact printer capable of making prints up to 12 minutes long. (All equipment is accessible to you after the workshop is over!) We'll discuss stock options, chemistry and effects, pros and cons with each method and set you up with the knowledge to duplicate your own films on film!
